An Updated Message from Kevin's Family

Monday - 11/17/2008

Oct 25^th – Ride for Kevin was a great Family Togetherness day; it was chilly & windy and most importantly rainless. We do plan in the future to have our events before October. Some riders braved the chill and by late morning we were rewarded with a beautiful sunny day.

THANK ALL OF YOU that participated/donated/volunteered and had our event in your prayers and thoughts.

Overall the event was successful... we have t-shirts from the event that can be ordered and mailed. If you made a donation and were unable to attend please email me at ghunt33@msn.com and we will mail your shirt.

If you would like to order a shirt, please do. A donation of $15 per shirt will get one mailed to the address you provide.

Donations made in Kevin's memory from last year's events were made to the following: LiveSTRONG $3,000 ~ Webster U Scholarships $4,500 ~ Cardinal Glennon $2,000 ~ Special Olympics $275 ~ Needy Families $800. Plus many individuals/groups made donations directly to LiveSTRONG in Kevin's name, our family cannot THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH.

Those that missed the article in last year's journal about the safety changes in UltraMax's triathlon event at Innsbrook Resort, please see the latest about the upcoming event in Warrenton Journal.

Our dear and beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend was tragically taken from us at the early age of 28, just as he was to begin his first ever triathlon. As a family on Saturday June 23rd, 2007 our lives have been changed forever and we are committing every moment of everyday to honor and cherish this wonderful, admirable, hero and man. May you along with our family continue to honor and remember Kevin in such a way that will sustain his memory in our hearts. That we will all come together to celebrate this beautiful life that he so generously gave to each of us.

Kansas City Chapter

We have received an overwhelming response from athletes all over, especially around the Kansas City area. So much so that we have now established a 464KH Kansas City Chapter! This chapter will host a golf tournament/memorial bike ride and will have a 464KH Racing Team. Visit our site again soon for more information.
